e-mail... non arriva

come da titolo non arrivano le mail...

nel senso, un utente si registra, ovviamente attivazione via mail.... non gli arriva...
come non arriva la notifica di messaggio privato o altre notifiche
il fatto causa molti errori come questo:

ovviamente la cosa succede anche a chi richiede promemoria della pass

dove devo guardare per correggere questo problema?

Prima di far perdere tempo inutilmente a tutti rispondo io.

Non è colpa di SMF se le mail non funzionano.
Ci sono delle cose da sistemare sul server, e probabilmente inizieremo oggi a fare delle prove per sistemare, quindi al momento è normale che non fungono.

Appena sarà risolto verrai informato...

io non ho detto che e' un problema di smf...pero' magari qualcun'altro e' successa la stessa cosa ed sa gia' la soluzione.........

per questo problema specifico
volevo lasciare un messaggio di risposta e di aiuto

qui ci troviamo su di un server ubuntu di propieta' e bisogna installare un' applicazione chimata sendmail
questa applicazione ha solo una configurazione semplice che mette all' opera localhost

Questo stralcio e' preso dal mio webmin che consiglio vivamente di installare per rendevi la vita piu' tranquilla
in sendmail c'e' una sezione chiamata Sendmail M4 Configuration
nel code c'e' il file di configurazione da copiare

nel forum nella sezione manutenzione/mail/impostazioni   bisogna solo configurare server mail smtp
non mettere utente ne password non servono lasciate i campi vuoti e il gioco ricomincia a funzionare
